My Bostitch roof gun has an adjuster on the magazine for vynal siding, once I put this on there I was just breaking the nail spots, did not help

It looks like everything should line up correctly, but it routinely shoots too high and blows through the top of the vinyl. I'm going to try grinding the bottom about 3/16" to see if that will make it shoot more reliably into the channel.
