  • Semi-PERMANENT ATTACHMENT FOR CHAINS AND HOOKS - Grade 100 mechanical connecting links provide a semi-permanent attachment for hooks and chains. Connect chains directly to each other or attach hooks to the ends of chains. Just assemble the connector through the links of chains or the eyes of the hooks and then hammer the pin through the middle. Easily remove the link when needed by hammering the pin back out.
  • Industrial strength construction - The heat-treated Grade 100 connecting links are intended to stand up to rigorous field use and harsh weather conditions. The body has smooth load bearing eyes to reduce wear on chain links and hooks. The heavy-duty steel pin and collar are designed for many years of use, removal, and reconnection. A strong steel spring inside the collar holds the pin in place but allows for easy removal when needed.
  • Properly rated with your safety in mind - This heavy-duty connector has a 8800 lbs. Safe Working Load and is intended for use with chains and hooks that have at least the same load rating. The rating is based on a 4:1 safety factor. 4:1 is the correct safety factor, recommended by the NACM, and our products are always rated properly. BEWARE: some other suppliers on the market do not rate their chains at a full 4:1 safety factor, which is not safe and can be very misleading to the user.
  • Safe and compliant for tie down and overhead lifting - The safe working load of 8800 lbs. matches all 3/8” Grade 100 chain and hooks and exceeds any Grade 70 or Grade 80 components. 2017 Superduty safety chain mounts on factory hitch are too small for the shackles. Added this and problem is fixed.

This hammerlock is well built and a heavy duty product that will last a life time. I use this 3/8" hammerlock beside a 1/2" hammerlock on my F250 pickup receiver hitch trailer safety chain hook up instead of a shackle. Two different sizes are used for different size hooks on each side.
