They HAVE to be spliced in, removing the wires and connecting existing wires does not work. The wire ends are different and doesn't allow existing wires to click in to place. This was on a 2013 Volkswagen CC Sport.

This worked really well on my 2001 Audi tt quattro 1.8t engine. I'd suggest soldering on some longer tails to these connectors first and covering each solder with heatshrink. Do this so you can replace all the wires that are on top of the engine in the high heat area that cooks the stock wires over time.

The connector fits the coil fine. The issue is the connector is not one that you can pop out the dzus wires from the broken connector and reinstall in the new connector. The wire holes in the new connector are smaller than OEM. The OEM wires will not fit. Result is you are forced to cut and splice wires - not a desirable process. Do yourself a favor and buy OEM.

My ignition wiring harness and its plugs were brittle and cracking causing shorts, blown fuses, and misfires so I bought these. Make sure to buy a kit of the marine style butt connectors because you'll probably mess up a few replacing these connectors. After replacing these and rewrapping the ignition pigtails with the (OEM style) fleece wiring tape I've had no more misfires for more than a year now.

When changing my ignition coils on my 2009 VW CC, my plug harness literally disintegrated in my hands. Ordered these and received them quickly and was able to install them with no hassle whatsoever. Saved me from spending unnecessary money for more expensive options at the auto part store.

I did a test fit on the coil and it seemed to work ok. When I depinned this connector and the factory one, I found that I could not seat the stock wiring in the connector because the factory pins are slightly larger. I was not planning to cut my harness, so I picked up a pair of connectors from the dealership. The part number for the stock part on my car is 8K0973724.

I broke my connector off my 2013 Jetta ignition coil replacing it. I bought a 4 pack of these with the intention of swapping pins. Seemed like alot of people out there are having issues doing so. I was able to successfully do so. Took a little bit of patience sliding the pins into the new connector but they clicked right into place. And the connector also clicked into place on the new ignition coil. This was a 2013 Jetta 2.0L.

These worked on my Audi 1.8T - the repair shop gave me a price of well over $600 to get these from Audi dealers, so I looked around and found these, saving over $600 - and installing them myself saved another $600. BTW, I'm not going back to that repair shop. As to these connectors - I'd give them six stars if I could.
