These lights are just as advertised. They were easy to install. The range of motion is perfect for my needs. Very bright- I am considering adding a dimmer switch for more versatility. Very happy with this purchase!

With energy prices going nowhere but up, I decided to swap out the entire lighting system in my house, from electricity-intensive halogen to these LED track heads. The individual units are very modest in your hand, but they give amazingly good light, and I like that they come with the soft LED hue. I have an existing track system for my previous light heads, these fit very well. The track head swivels up to 180 degrees, the only down side is that the head itself does not offer much play to adjust the exact angle at which you wish the spots to hit your room. But I like the unassuming look, the ease of installation, and the price is really good (these heads come with LEDs included).

Great replacement for old track lighting without replacing the track. The lights are nice and bright, easy to install.

I replaced an older light with this unit in an L track. It is a good replacement at a good price. The previous light was only used occasionally so it lasted more than a decade. Let's see how well this unit with LED bulb lasts. The light itself is bright and the bulb head can be moved about 90 degrees. So far so good.

Step one was to figure out that I had "L" type track in my 1990's house. The internet can help you learn this. (A solid hint is to take a picture of the end of your track without the end cap on. ) Step two was to find compatible LED track heads. Thank you Amazon. These are smaller than my legacy heads, but offer great light, provide a nice modern look, and were easy to install. Orientation matters, so read the directions first.

I have a Lightolier track in the kitchen, that goes back a whole lot of years. Finding a track light head that works well, has been a quest for some time. I'm really happy that I fond these. They're easy to adjust and are more than bright enough. In fact, my next "improvement" will be to replace the toggle switch with a dimmer switch.As a lot of other Amazon shoppers do, I read the reviews, before I decided to purchase these. One reviewer noted that they only work if you insert them in the correct direction. First bulb didn't power up, so I installed it again, after rotating the unit 180°. Worked like a champ. Had to do the same thing with the second unit, and learned my lesson by the time I installed the third light. Now, they all work fine, and are plenty bright in my environment. Hence, the need for the dimmer. I do like to see what I'm enjoying for dinner, but being able to dim the level should be an additional upgrade.Just pay attention to the orientation of the contacts, and you'll see that many of the one and two star reviews are due to user/human error. Clicked in, turned on light. It’s that simple. To instal it, hold the base, not the head, and turn it the direction of the arrow. Another reviewer tipped me off regarding that. Couldn’t be easier, and it looks great! The “L” in the name refers to Lightolier.

I can’t believe I found these new LED heads to replace 40 year old Lightolier spotlights. I thought I was going to have to spend around $100 to $150 a piece to get decent lights for an (L) track system. I saw these listed and realized (L) track meant that these are compatible with Lightolier tracks. I ordered 8 of them but was skeptical. They came 2 days later, and I had them all up and lit within 20 minutes of receiving the shipment. They look fantastic, and are just as-if not more-bright as the 40 year old heads with 75 watt spotlights in them. These LED lights will also use a lot less electricity. Label me “happy. “

I was looking for an upgrade for some old track lights and decided to try these. The lightolier track style seems a bit harder to find fixtures for but these ones did the trick. They're really bright and look great in the kitchen.

The lights are bright and look neat (no cables) and the color temperature closely matches that of the halogen bulbs they are replacing.The installation was slightly confusing -- at first I though several of the lights were broken and the thought crossed my mind to return them to Amazon. But it was just me not installing them the right way!A traditional base can be twisted onto the track either clockwise or counter clockwise. But these lamps seem to work only when the base is twisted onto the track in one particular direction. It took a few attempts putting the base onto the track in the correct way.Once the base is properly installed on the track, the lamp itself swivels 360 degrees so there is no problem pointing it where it need to go.
