Considering all the pieces in the kit it is good value. All the items are well made except for the Teflon tape which is very thin.No other issues. I was able to install the items and made a good seal once I found some better teflon tape for the faucet. The bore of the faucet is quite small compared to the connector pipes, but all water tight.

The faucet is smaller than it should be, given that the inter-barrel connectors can flow 4 gallons a minute. The faucet is narrower, and can't manage that flow rate.Drill the holes in your barrels. Make the holes a snug fit around the brass fittings.Use a length of cord longer than the distance from a hole to the barrel top.Tie a weight on the end of the cord, that will fit through the hole.Leave a gap of six inches or more between the weight and a washer also tied to the cord. The washer has to fit through the hole, too.Place the brass fitting with its plastic washer above the washer.Tie another washer above the brass fitting.Tilt the barrel toward yourself, lower the cord into the barrel, letting the weight slide along the barrel side until the weight appears in the hole.Pull the weight through the hole (a bit of wire bent into a hook works well for this)Pull the lower washer through the hole, then guide the brass fitting through the hole. Line the fitting up square to the hole.Pull on the cord to drag the fitting through the hole.Undo the weight and washer from the cord, and remove.Apply the brass fitting's outer washer, and its nut.Tighten the nut.Rinse and repeat for each barrel hole. Then add the hoses. And the faucet.

So the brass connectors work. The hose does not. It wasn’t leaking because I didn’t tighten it enough, I used tape and a crescent wrench to make sure. It was leaking at the joint between the hose and the threaded fitting. At least I kinda got my money worth for the brass fittings, now I need hoses that work. Also the hose would have need better if the the depth of the threads would go on more then about one and a half turns. Just bad hoses.

BULKHEAD LEAKED CONSTANTLY. PLUMBER FRIEND POINTED OUT THAT THE NUT ON THE BULKHEAD HAS A BEVELED SIDE RATHER THAN A FLAT SIDE TO FIT THE RUBBER WASHER CREATING A LEAK. I FINALLY PURCHASE A DIFFERENT BULKHEAD TO FIX THIS OBVIOUS ERROR.

Good value for the money, and seems to be quality materials. Used these on a rain barrel for an automatic watering system for our chickens.

We drilled a hole through our rain barrels and use this to help water the garden. It was straight forward, easy to install, and has been working well for several months!
