First of all, no idea what the guy who bought this to make a charging station is on, its much safer to buy a premade "usb charging" board with the coil, diodes, etc. already put on. But thats not why I bought it, I bought it to hook this up to an Arduino and take a USB keyboard as input.What I wish I'd known before buying this is that USB is a protocol made by Satan. You need a dedicated chip to handle USB data, without it the most you'll get is a software implementation of USB called "vUSB" that is very slow and only supports turning your board into a peripheral. You will not be turning your Arduino or Raspberry Pi into anything useful without that USB hat/shield.And with those two use cases out of the way I can't think of why you'd buy this. Do not make my mistake.

The holes line up with the USB plug breakout from the same supplier and with a short piece of pin header, I was able to create a USB power blocker. D+, D-, and GND pass through, but Vbus does not. Why? I have one of those 3D printers that tries to draw power from the USB port when it's own power supply is shut off. This means the Raspberry Pi running OctoPrint is being subjected to brown-outs. My DIY device puts a stop to that. I now have enough leftover parts to make nine more of these. Good times, good times!

It is hard to write a review for such a specialized item. To use them you need to already know how. They were just what the Doctor ordered (so to speak) for my diy project. Soldered well with my .1mm headers.

These units work well and beat splicing cables. It would have been nice if they had a header pre-soldered to the board.

these look like they will work ok, but 6 out of the 10 I received have completely mangled connectors. They are bent/crushed beyond repair.
