This was a perfect fit to my 2004 Rav4. I did replace the muffler a few years ago with the stainless steel muffler sold here on Amazon which was a perfect fit to the exhaust. The resonator pipe had rotted out so I ordered this and it matched up perfectly to the stainless muffler and the pipe upstream to this resonator pipe. The Catalytic Converter pipe. However I did run into an issue with my resonator pipe that was installed was welded on to the catalytic converter pipe. So I ended up grinding away at the weld so I could remove the old pipe. Once the weld was ground up enough and after making cuts into the old pipe trying to slice it in half. Then I was able to pry up the pipe and where I ground the weld it just started breaking away at the weld. Now I did spray my exhaust with VHT Flame Proof high temp paint. Sprayed the resonator pipe hoping to get extra life out of it slowing down the rust. So saved myself a boat load of money replacing this section myself. Now I used anti seize on the bolts to the muffler and here several years later the bolts came right out of the muffler with a box wrench. Bolts were in fine condition so cleaned up and reused using anti-seize. The gasket they suggested for this also was a perfect fit. No leaks even using exhaust 2 1/8” clamps and not welding the pipe to the catalytic converter. Much quieter exhaust as I had previously spliced in the old resonator pipe with one of those flexible pipes and it rotted apart in 2 years. I’ll post some photos.

Fairly easy install. Good fit but the the end that bolts onto the muffler broke off in less than two years. This is my second one because of the price.

The pipe end that goes toward the engine can be easily deformed. Also the mating pipe may have swelled over time. This is no fault of the manufacturer. My pipe was damaged in shipping. I reformed it and then cut two gaps down the side about 15mm. This allowed the pipe end to expand and fit over the old pipe more easily. Do not forget to sand off the rust on the old pipe before mating.
