Got this to replace a bad iac valve on a 2003 Mustang GT. Not long after installation it started making the infamous foghorn sound and the car wouldn’t idle properly. I am very experienced with replacing these valves. It’s very important to reset the keep alive memory and then allow the car to relearn the idle parameters with the new part installed before it will idle properly. I have done a lot of research on this and the top experts recommend using only Motorcraft iac valves due to how the interact with the cars pcm. Unfortunately, it seems that Motorcraft is no longer making this part and finding one is very difficult. I found one that was new but without the original box and rolled the dice and it worked just as it should. I have yet to find an aftermarket iac valve that works properly on these cars. I’m not sure what I’ll do the next time I need another one.

Initially, this Walker IAC valve worked great. After a couple of weeks my car began stalling immediately following startup and then the infamous loud buzzing/foghorn sound appeared with just over two months of use, indicating that the IAC has failed. I recommend avoiding this valve and spending a bit more to buy Motorcraft/Ford OEM. Additionally, Walker does not stand behind their product as attempts to reach them for a warranty claim have fallen on deaf ears.

Bought this trying to solve and idle issue with my 4.6l mustang gt. It worked for a few days and now it's causing a loud humming noise in the engine around 2000rpm and it makes the car buck like a horse at the same time! I highly recommend you go with Ford motorcraft replacement as my old ford IAC lasted 27 years! I took both valves apart and they're not even made the same inside

It does what it’s supposed to do. When my son told me his car was starting to make a humming noise sometimes while driving and the engine idleing rough I already knew what it was because I had already fixed a car with the same symptom many years ago. It took me about 10 minutes to replace and it’s been working fine for the past month.

Product was an exact replacement for the OEM Ford Unit. It was easy to install, except for the gasket keep moving during the install. I used a spray adhesive to keep the gasket in place so that it would not move when bolting on the IACV.
