This allows the computer to precisely control idle speed when varying loads are placed on the engine. Symptoms of failure include engine stalling, surging, poor idle conditions, and or a check engine light. Check for proper operation with each tune-up. Replace when trouble codes indicate failure. Truck developed a massive vacuum leak. Ran a smoke machine to discover the iac valve has failed. I do not recommend.

It was almost like OEM, just a little difference in the electrical connector location but the rest was perfect. Perfect fit! Better than paying over $100 at the dealership. I installed this on my 2001 F-150 5.4L V8

Worked perfect. Takes your car computer to learn it for 25 or so miles but after that it worked perfect.
