Advertises 5 miles of range - really only 1.2 miles. But that's in a densely populated urban environment. Interested to see what the range would be father out. At about the 1 mile mark, we did pick up interference and pull in chatter from others on the same channel who were definitely 1 - 2 miles west of us in farm land (based on their discussion). So no way of knowing what system they were using or exactly how far out they were. Could've been much further.

We have frequent family/ friends bonfires which come with multiple kids. They loved having the walkie talkies as they roamed around the property.Super nice to have so we can reach someone at the house while up top.Camping season will be upon us soon an these will definitely save us going back an forth to kids tents.. lol yes we keep an eye on our babies.. but they need something every 5 minutes.. lolVery pleased .

I have a tree business and these actually work super good for the price. I was very very surprisingly amazed by the range, the quality, and the crispness of voice when talking to each other. The hands-free option is actually awesome, it works as it should. The earpiece that comes with it was made kind of cheap, and doesn't fit in your ear the greatest. But I added different ear pieces to them, and now they are super amazing to use. We can hear each other over the chainsaws and chipper. I recommend these four industrial work or Outdoors work like myself, or for even something to play with or even hunting.

Pros: Product came in a reasonable time; Packaging is exceptional; Came with everything included and unopened and that’s about it.CONS: Product quality feel is cheap plastic. I wouldn’t drop them they will probably crack and break. Out of the four radios I had one completely stop working within 2-3 minutes of testing. Unplugged battery tried multiple different things to get it to work and nothing. When you press the buttons on the radio the screens show all the digital icons as if they’re highlighted. ! THIS IS A VERY CHEAPLY MADE PRODUCT ! *DO NOT USE IF WORKING ANY SORT OF COMMERCIAL OR JOB APPLICATION.*

We live on a multi acre farm, with three different houses on it. We bought these to keep in all residences and one to run with someone out on the ranch. The sound quality is clear, even being a mile away.They charge easy and last a long time! They come with plenty of chargers and cords. They clip well and have a good strap. You won’t regret buying these, great price for the product you receive!

Initially bought these for a recent road trip that involved multiple vehicles. Without reading any directions, I was able to set them up and get them running with no issues.During the 12 hour trip, in the event we needed quick communication with the other people, I wanted an open line of communication in the event that cell phone reception wasn't there.Pros:During the trip there and back, the batteries lasted for the full trip with pretty consistent use. I charged them once we got to our destination, and the family continued to play with them for the week. Charged them again before heading back, and they continued working great.The channel I set them on, we didnt get any noise, feedback, or cross noiseDidnt exactly measure, but the range seems to cut out beyond 4 miles away, at about 3 miles away the communication does seem to drop, but I feel like thats pretty strong considering other radio bands, wireless frequencies, etc for a small handheld device with a small antennaKids were able to use these easily once I showed them how, and they loved them.Cons:Only real drawback is the pure amount of settings these things have if you just need something simple. Though this could also be a pro if you actually read the manual and have a good knowledge of these devices.

This purchase was so we would be able to communicate with our younger children while they are running around the neighborhood, and also for camping. Haven't taken them out camping yet, but I'm sure they'll do the job. The range is okay, not great. But for a small and cheap little handset, they work pretty well. The battery life has been incredible. I've only charged 1 of them 1 time. The rest have been used for hours, on and off for about a month, still haven't needed a charge. They have a great battery saving feature that works well. Again, the range is only so-so. They will work up to about 4 short neighborhood blocks, maybe about 400 yards or so. If you don't need a long range, these are a great choice at a fantastic price. If you are looking for longer range, look elsewhere and likely pay a bit more.
