Worse product ever when I took them out of the plastic , they smelled like rubber so bad that I had to keep them outside to air out. It was so cheaply made. For the price I expected more, this product should have been maybe $5. The grass like material was more like the Easter straw you get in Easter baskets. I’m not empressed. I would never buy again nor would I recommend them to anyone. I’d say skip this product, it’s not worth it.

These work well. They trim well. I don’t wash. They are cheap enough that I just toss and replace.

I’ve cycled through several different nesting box materials, and this one didn’t perform as well as I would have hoped. The hens poop on them and the eggs get supper dirty compared to just using regular nesting material. Plus, the constant cleaning is a pain. So now we use these as a bottom layer and put nesting straw on top of it. Also, I have a couple hens who insisted on eating the grass off them, so they’d pull the pads out and run around the yard with them, pecking the grass blades off. I’d put the pads back in, and they’d pull them back out. My hens utilized these more as a game than anything else.

My birds are very dirty and poop in the nest boxes every night. These make it very easy to pull out, dispose of poop, and replace quickly. I wish I had gotten two sets originally but have since ordered a backup set for days when I need to wash the pads with water, to allow dry time before returning to box.

Our girls love these. I think they think they are outside in the grass. The eggs look great laid on the green. I wish we would have bought these earlier. We can hose them off and reuse. Excellent!

I will use. But I bought hay to put on top. Because I felt it could be thicker maybe a bit less on the rough side
