Installation Instructions:

Step 1: Turn off the water supply to the water softener unit.

Step 2: Locate the bypass valve port on the water softener unit.

Step 3: Remove the existing bypass valve, if present, by loosening the connecting fittings or screws.

Step 4: Attach the threaded adapters provided with the 7129871 bypass valve to the water softener unit's bypass valve port. Ensure a tight connection.

Step 5: （NOTE: When connecting the pipelines, align the two threads and tighten them synchronously. Do not tighten one side before the other, as it may cause misalignment of the thread tightened later.）Connect the bypass valve to the threaded adapters, ensuring a secure fit. Use PTFE tape on the threaded connections to prevent leakage.

Step 6: Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks. If necessary, tighten the connections further.

Step 7: The bypass valve is now installed and ready to use.

Note: Ensure that the bypass valve has 5 screw fixing caps before installation. If it does not, this bypass valve may not be suitable for your specific model. If you are unsure, please talk to us through Amazon, and we will be happy to assist you in determining compatibility.

Installed. Opened the bypass to fill the softener, water spraying out the end of the plunger. Smfh. This job has turned into a can of worms. Don't buy this valve.
