About this item

  • Fast drying, semi-translucent, and easy to layer to achieve a mottled look. UV stable for indoor and outdoor use.
  • Tru Tint water-based stains have become the go-to coloration for many concrete stamping contractors for its ease of use, economy, and the ability to tailor the colors to the surrounding landscape.
  • Can be sprayed, rolled, brushed or sponged. Easy to dilute for even lighter coating. They work well alone, or in conjunction with integral color or color hardener.
  • Excellent for rejuvenation applications. It is as easy as recolor and reseal your patio, floors, or driveway to get it looking like it did when it was poured! This goes for either pavers or concrete.
  • Quart size covers approximately 62 square feet (1 gallon = approx 250 sq ft), so it is perfect for smaller projects or projects where you want to mix colors for even more original work.

Tru Impressions water-based, penetrating concrete stain for use on nearly any concrete surface. Fast-drying. Semi-translucent, easy to layer to achieve mottled look. Can be sprayed, rolled, brushed or sponged. Easy to dilute for even lighter coating. UV stable for indoor and outdoor use. 1 gallon coverage approx. 250 sq ft. (1 quart approx 62 sq ft) Available in regular or concentrated forms. Should be sealed to fully lock in color. With 40 stock colors offered and custom blending available, these are a popular choice for contractors and DIYers alike. Color is more consistent between surfaces, and there are no harsh chemicals involved. Colors can be diluted, combined, layered, and manipulated in many ways to achieve the desired effects. Water-based concrete stains are suspensions of micro-fine or nano-pigments in a water-based solution of penetrating and binding agents. Because pigment color choices are so plentiful there is a wider color variety to choose from. A good water-based stain will give you time to work with it, yet will be permanent when cured out. Water-based stains work by flowing into and filling the concrete pores and bonding into the surface. Because they are more surface dependent for soaking in, you need to be sure proper prep is done to open up the surface to allow for a good, deep bond in the pores. C-Etch is a great product for that by safely etching the surface giving you plenty of porosity.

Blue Gray color exactly what we were looking for on the new patio. Easy to apply and all around great sealer. Has held up this winter with multiple atmospheric rivers of torrential rainfall. Highly recommend.

I used this to ad a little color to my old stone accents on my house. It was easy to apply after watching a few DIY videos. It looks great and I have not had any issue with it fading. A little goes a long way if you are just brightening up something.

Applied to new basalite brick. Used 6 different colors, none made a significant change in the natural brick's cement color. Waste of money. I changed to brick and masonry paint instead. Worked just fine

This started as a pile of dirt that I carved into a garden feature . I had the idea of a faux river, I created the direction I wanted it to flow. I planted sweet potato vine to rin down the " River path". I wanted more and I decided to dye granite chips with this terrific product. It is effective, permanent and easy yo use. I used the color Aruba to imitate water. This is how I applied the dye. I used an old bucket as a "tumbler". I dropped in a manageable amount of stone in the bucket, then poured a small amount of dye on top and began to turn and toss the stone wearing elbow length rubber gloves. Then I dumped it onto cardboard to dry. It dries quickly. Very reasonably priced. A little goes a long way.

We used 3 colors on our sidewalk and did a little blending of colors. These stains are easy to work with, covered beautifuly, and look great. I just poured the stain into used tin cans and used an 1 1/2" stain brush to apply. We still need to put a sealer on. I didn't give them 5 stars only because we want to see how the color holds up. We look forward to doing some other work using other colors.

My home's stone walls had become gray (cement color) with time.. No color at all.. Time and weather had faded the color of the stones.. In just a few minutes I brushed on several different colors I purchased as per old photos I had of the walls and they look as good as when I purchased the home.. I diluted these dyes with water to make them more transparent. I still have not finished but the stone walls are beginning to look as good as new! I would DEFINITELY recommend these dyes for stone walls..
