The tool works if you don't mind stretching the wood, but it will not cut as the "blades" are not sharp. I was able to run my finger across the blade multiple times with no fear of cutting my finger. Then to top it off after the mid-point of the shaft it had a slight bend in it that caused chipping on my Fender headstock. The offset was due to the machining of the blades they were flared and ripped the wood.

I'll get right to it, this is right at 1/2" in diameter so it can't ream a 1/2" hole. It need to be bigger than 1/2" to ream 1/2". Also, it came pretty dull. It kept wanting to catch because it was just sharp enough to remove material but not sharp enough to do it cleanly. Also, don't try to use it in a drill of any kind as this isn't straight enough to not ruin what you're working on.

Unfortunately, this is slightly under 1/2 inch,. To ream a 1/2 inch hole, it obviously needs to be slightly over 1/2 inch. I am returning this. It would probably work for anything under 7/16, but that's not what they described it as.

Very satisfied. If need to make progress requires another tool, I will get a copy here. Picked out to powered hex drive taper for keystocking tensile steel sheet to stainless box spar, with spud. Mounted in battery and clutch impact nutdriver for 1/4" drive, this tool hit the spot. The project is already on 4 flute 1mm step to pilot, and a surprise to find sharp and handy immediately. Forgives to include some cutting fluid because is so nice to handle safely, better to care for good practice. Will pick up a copy new if cleaning goes well. 5 stars for tensile box spar and spud keystocking. Very handy, nice surprise.
