  • 20:1 GEAR RATIO - For decades, Waverly tuners have been the standard by which all other tuners are measured. We now offer our flagship tuners with a 20:1 gear ratio option for more precise tuning control.
  • DROP-IN REPLACEMENT DESIGN - If your guitar already has Waverly tuners, upgrading to the high ratio models is a 5-minute job anyone can do. They literally drop right in. No drilling is required.
  • AUTHENTIC VINTAGE FIT - The sturdy steel baseplates have an authentic 1930s footprint. String posts are vintage-style tapered 1/4"-diameter brass, with press-fit knurled brass hex bushings to fit 11/32" (8.73mm) diameter pegholes.
  • TIMELESS VINTAGE DESIGN DETAILS - Waverly tuners represent the pinnacle in clean, elegant design. The solid brass "butterbean" knob (a description coined by the late Martin historian Mike Longworth) and the footprint are the same as the fabled pre-war martin's.
  • MASTERCRAFTED IN OHIO, USA! - Waverly tuners are built to last. We assemble each set in our ohio shop, and if they ever fail, they're backed by our lifetime promise.

Put them on my Martin, which originally had Schaller Grand Tunes that turned out to be faulty and were replaced under warrantee by Martin with Gold Grover Sta-tites v97-18s. The Schallers had issues where they would bind at the G and D strings, until you could barely use them. The Grovers were better, but were still quite stiff on the G and D too, plus they felt a little sloppy/loose.The waverlys perform pretty much the same on each string, having a smooth and solid feel to them. They are easier to get into accurate tuning also. Overall, they are pricey, but this was the best price that I could find them.

These actually live up to their reputation, they are the best tuners I've ever used. They were very easy to install and I love love love the 21:1 ratio, makes precision tuning a dream.
