Do not buy this product. Does not work. No tech support. Will not connect. Save your money.

Had this installed and it interfered with our internet by making it loop. We had it installed by someone that knew what they were doing. It initially worked great for a few days and we could get a WiFi signal where we couldn’t before. We had to disconnect it.

The distance is great, however it is an OPEN wi-fi so you must set up your individual Password which takes a little finesse. Once done, you're good to go.

I have a trailer on my property and the internet is half an acre away. Put this up outside and I have a signal for the Wi-Fi that does not get interrupted. I can have two TVs computer and a few other things including my phone running all at the same time and no interruptions or skipping. Does both 5G and 2G extremely well? Anybody who's looking for a Wi-Fi boost or to extend their range? This is the product for you

Given the various pricing, seller, and combination of this extender – I was a little confused when I ordered the first unit. There are so many sellers associated with Wavlink or Wavlink has so many storefronts and pricing model. This product does work – but you have to get the right version – and it is not easy.My first unit was from Wirelessforce for model # WNAP570B and ASIN B0DCZCWZMB with a release date of August 2024 for $55. This little unit is working well and allows be to access cameras across the year. The setup was easy and never had any issues dropping signal. Plus the automatic firmware update is a big plus.Impressed by this, I ordered another unit – this time – attracted by the lower price. From Juyi Store with a model # AC600 and ASIN B09LXWHS7R with a release date of July 2021 for $34. This unit was promptly returned overnight as it failed to function. It had trouble maintaining a link to the router, kept dropping and the signal was weak. This was a WN570HA1 Rev A.At the point of return, I ordered from Wirelessforce (same seller) a unit that I thought was the same. But has a model # of 570HA1 and ASIN of B08BZLXB3M with a release date of June 2018 for $53. This was returned the same day for the same signal dropping and weak throughput issue. This was also a WN570HA1 Rev A.I hope that Amazon would put an end to all this madness from sellers/manufacturers with a requirement to list the right model number. The one I found that works the best is the WN570HA1 Rev B (Aerial HD2-Pro) -

TLDR; good hardware but do not buy if you are not prepared or are not familiar with replacing software on routers/access points.Installing the unit as access point or extender is easy enough. However, under the hood there are more than a bunch of surprises.Monitoring traffic after the initial installation, I noticed strange behavior. A more in detail search in Google showed the original firmware on these units contains several backdoors and even a utility to check for nearby networks.I replaced the firmware with OpenWRT, an open source software for routers and access points, and the unit is working perfectly. My original, more extensive, review was rejected. Amazon will not allow me to post links to the reports of the vulnerabilities, backdoors, or the OpenWRT replacement software, but a simple web search will take you there. In summary, good hardware but do not buy if you are not prepared or are not familiar with replacing software on routers/access points.
