Very nice lock. I got the 10' version for locking 2 bikes. Seems to be made very well and lock is very easy to lock and unlock, and for the price you can't beat it.

Product is as described. Lock is much easier to operate than other locks, specially in the cold. It does not require the key to lock, only to unlock. And unlocking works at any temperature, using gloves, etc.

I needed a new bike lock, and this one seemed like it would meet my needs. Yes, it does that perfectly. No bike lock will completely prevent theft, but this will discourage the amateurs and cause the more professional to take longer stealing your bike than they might like. I prefer keys to combination locks because I have had problems with combination locks jamming and trapping my bicycle. Operation of the security key is smooth and consistent.

The bike cable worked perfectly. It's flexible so easy to thread through the trailer hitch and bike. The cable is a good size to discourage theft and the lock seems secure and there is a dust and dirt cover over where the key is inserted.

We especially like that length, the protective coating that protects the kayak and the roof of the car from scratches. The lock is very high quality and protected from the weather.

I use these for some peace of mind when I am heading into a restaurant or coffee shop on my way to the cottage with the kayaks. While it's not going to stop a determined thief, it's enough to push away a good man with an inchy finger. You'd need some plier cutters and elbow grease to cut through this but you can do it. It's even more effective when you carry it with you onto a campsite and decide to try it up to a tree or something. They key is thick so it's easy to secure properly without it poking you. Comes with 2, which is a need when traveling with others.Ultimately,it's a bare minimum when traveling and wanting to take care of your well earned toys but not enough to sleep like baby while your yak sits all alone on top of your car in a walmart parking lot. Get it, try it, and hope for the best

I recently purchased a very expensive (over $2000.00) scooter to get to the market/pharmacy/bank as I'm no longer driving my van. My original plan was to take the scooter into the various stores to make my purchases, but it is too large and hard to maneuver in tight quarters with so much aisle blockage in my local grocery store. I purchased this to secure it to a pole or bike rack right outside the store entrance. it is very easy to key lock and no one has attempted to hack or tamper with it. Good solution for a quick trip inside the store and the scooter has an alarm system that I can set in case any one attempts to fool with the cable lock.-

There's a lot to like about this lock. It has a stainless steel cable. I have an older lock with a completely rusted out cable but the plastic jacket does protect my bike from stains and scratches. It's nice to know that rust will not be an issue. Another feature is the double cut keys which allows me to insert the key from both directions making it easy to insert the key. I really prefer a keyed lock over the combination type because I find them much easier to use. I'm rather neutral about the sliding access door over the keyway. It will likely break overtime and I'll not be overly sad about it's loss. Finally it's nice to have a choice of cable length I got the five footer which is adequate for my bike..I had to remove a star because it's apparent that the lock is lacking a strong metal case. It looks super secure and all but an experienced crook will just pass and look for an easier target. I'm pretty sure that a couple solid blows with a hammer will easily defeat this lock..I recommend this lock and will likely get another one.

Seems like a decent lock, suspect its like most, good for stopping honest people and not so good for the bad guys. But thats what I need it for, using to protect my surge protector at campsites where most people are honest and I just want to prevent someone who might be tempted, as the device costs $300 and has to stay outside

Perfect to add a much needed layer of security to your cars bike rack. The lock mechanism is super smooth and waterproof and the smooth thick covered cable threads (and un-threads) quickly and easily through your bikes without getting caught on anything. Even the most expensive bike rack that is most highly rated for security is only secure because it has a thin cable that you can wind around your bikes this is much thicker andwill slow the thieves down much more and give you a bit longer of Peace of Mind so you can go into a restaurant and get something to eat after a good ride - hopefully long enough so you can at least get through your appetizer before you have to run out of the restaurant to try and stop them from stealing your bikes in the parking lot. Lol. But seriously it's thick and it's a bright blue deterrent and they're much more likely to steal someone else's bikes instead....
