About Weaver
Founded by Harry A. Weaver in 1973 as the Fryburg Shoe Shop, Weaver grew from humble beginnings into the trusted manufacturer of a wide range of leather and nylon goods it is today. In the beginning, Harry concentrated on shoe repair, but before long he recognized the potential to expand into other markets. The fledgling company began handcrafting leather horse and cattle halters. The popularity of these halters led to the manufacture of more and more items prompting Weaver to become a driving force across various industries including equine, livestock, leather supply, pet, arborist, tool gear and custom manufacturing.

We purchased 5 of these leads and all but one have failed. The spring becomes way too loose and allows the horse to unlatch and remove the hook by shaking the head. We had kids at a horse show taking the horses for a walk. When the horse shook his head from flies the hook came off. Shortly after that, we had 2 more fail and horses get loose. The quality of the rope is nice but the hooks are dangerous. We ended up replacing all the hooks for safety.
