We bought this new girth for our 26 year old gelding. It’s a perfect fit and very easy to cinch up. He’s comfortable in it and we have had no issues.

I feel it is comfortable for my horse. I had to learn to use it and make sure what hole fit him the best. Now it is pretty simple to put on and very reliable.

Weaver did an excellent job with manufacturing this cinch. The first Weaver cinch I purchased was over a year ago and I just purchased a third one. We show ponies that range from 9 to 13 hands. I have purchased a 24, 26, and 28” Weaver cinch. I have had no issues with these cinches rubbing or causing any type of discomfort to our ponies.

One of our older saddles has been equipped with a Weaver Leather Smart Cinch for over 4 years as we bought it used along with the saddle, so no saying how old it really is.With that said, it is in remarkable condition and shows little wear. The fabrics and felt are looking really good.Their patented roller system really works nice. You can "feel" how much you are pulling on the latigo without just yanking it up tight. It seems to give you more control over just how tight you are pulling things. No sense in cutting your horse in two, as is said by so many who teach you how to saddle a horse. The area I noticed as a negative with the materials is that I thought the buckles and rollers were stainless. I mean, it's gonna get sweaty...really, really sweaty. With the first one we bought used, it is showing signs of obvious rust. If it were stainless steel (they use "nickel plated hardware" according to Weaver's website) it would greatly reduce the signs of decay. Everything still moves and operates as it should, so no mechanical issues, just aesthetics at this point.Even so, I bought a second one as I was very impressed with the first. I paid just under $50 and couldn't be more pleased to have purchased another. The reason for the 4 star review instead of a 5 is the sticker on the retail material attached to the cinch... Made in Taiwan :( Let me expound...Weaver Leather, LLC is located in Mt. Hope, Ohio. On the retail packaging, it states, "Designed in Mt. Hope, Ohio." I'm sure this gives the impression to many that it is MADE in the USA, but that is not so as aforementioned. Hopefully, this will change and they can bring all their manufacturing to the US.This is a wonderful cinch and I would not hesitate buying a third if I ever need one and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. What are you waiting for, measure your saddle and horse and add this to your cart. You won't regret it.
