The screws that lock the mount to the rail were missing. Also, 12 screws are required to lock the halves together. Only 4 in the package.

These are great because they have more bearing surface, and you don't need a lot of torque to hold you scope in place. I was told to much torque could damage the scope

i have put these rings on every gun i have they are solid and thinga stay put from rifle to shot gun even if you might drop the gun i have been on hunting trips from canada and all over i have never had any issuesi do recommend these and 5 stares i also have many guns with 4x16x60 mm scopes mounted and they stay right on

These are really nice scope mounts. Lots of grip surface. Base mounts very solidly into picatinny rail with large hex head or slot fasteners. The hardest thing is securing the six top half screws. Be patient and work them all down evenly in a staggered pattern.

I have used Weaver 6-hole rings before and been pleased with the quality and stability. I recently purchased a Weaver Super Slam 30mm 4-20x scope with an objective bell diameter of 59.9mm, so I needed extra clearance to mount the scope on my Tikka T3 Tac which has a built-in (i.e. low) rail. These "extra-high" rings were perfect.

Fit was perfect for my Vortex Viper scope. The scope is mounted on an Armalite AR-50 rifle. After 20 rounds downrange the scope has remained solidly in place. A must have for large caliber rifles.
