I'm surprised that the fact that you cannot change the combination lock isn't mentioned in product description or on Abus website. This means if the code is seen/stolen, the lock is as secure as a rope! The fact that it has 3 digits instead of 4 makes it mathematically 10x easier to pick. Overall, I'm disappointed by this purchase. I didn't even know Abus associates their brand with this kind of low security lock. :/

Affordable solution in locking up your saddle to your frame. It won't stop anyone from cutting it, but it will deter them. Worth it - bought two.

I bought this to secure me seat to the frame. the length is perfect however the other reviews about this being "light" are wring. This is a chain. It works for the purpose I bought it for.

Very good for what it is intended for: a light weight, low-security lock. I take it on bikepacking trips when I only need to lock it for a few minutes at the grocery store in a small town. It weighs nothing.

I gave this 5 for now for it fit to the seat to lock.. 1 of our bike was stolen before then police found it. This year the seatpost was stolen and the hand grip.. Bought 2 for our 2 bike...

Perfect for kids, they somehow do remember the code but if they have a lock that requires keys they loose the keys all the time..

I use the lock to secure my saddle. It's only one component in my security setup. Does the job perfectly. I live in a very low crime area, so I've probably gone overboard on security, but better too much than too little. The cost difference is minimal in the long run.

So far I’ve bought two of these. They’re thin and short but work great as a deterrent. The second one was clearly used and was missing the key code, so it’s going back.

Works to secure a full-face helmet to my bike. Long enough to go through the face opening and the frame. This is small and light enough to stash on the bike, even a large pocket - a big positive. The downside, of course, is that the chain is only enough to deter a walk-by thief. It would quickly yield to bolt cutters or a cutting disk. Five stars because the compromise is about right.

a thief cut through this lock like butter and stole a wheel off my bike. I should have invested more money in a U lock.

This is the perfect length to reach from my bike seat to my frame, with just enough slack to still mount my under-saddle bike bag (see photo). Really appreciate that there is no wasted length in this application. I've also secured my bike bag to this lock via stainless steel zip ties, making it a bit more likely that the bag will stay in place as well. The final thing I have looped through this lock is a custom cut SS cable to secure my TiGr lock to the bike if I don't use the TiGr in certain locations. I carry both a TiGr and the ABUS 10mm (links) x 120 cm Brooklyn noose chain , but only use both when the area is really sketchy. The noose chain is easier to use being longer, so I use it most often, but I don't want to lose my expensive TiGr to someone who just walks up and pulls it out of the mount, hence this solution.I'm confident that ABUS Steel-O-Chain chain is harder to cut than cable of similar size, and this is actually much easier to handle as well, since the chain can be folded into about any shape while cable takes up more room. I'd also happily use it on a front wheel, but I have the TiGr for that.
