Love how sturdy these are. They are easy to clean and I use them for so much around my kitchen. For iced coffees, storing leftovers, ice cream and acai bowls, everything!

I have an extensive Weck collection, but this .5 liter is my favorite overall. I use it for quick pickling like curtidos, and I have three in rotation for my sourdough starter. This 6-piece set enables me always to have a clean jar on hand. I sanitize them in the dishwasher and swap out my starter jar several times a week.

I absolutely love these Weck jars! I originally purchased them for my sourdough starter, but I’ve found them so versatile that I now use them for meal prepping overnight oats and yogurt as well. The glass is sturdy, and the jars keep everything fresh. They’re perfect for storing and organizing food in the fridge. The size is great, and they’re easy to clean—oven and dishwasher safe. When the lid fits well, it keeps everything sealed tightly. That said, there are a couple of minor downsides: The silicone rings can sometimes fall off or not fit perfectly, and the clamps can be a bit tricky to keep track of. But overall, these are small inconveniences compared to the quality of the product as a whole. If you’re looking for high-quality, durable, and multi-purpose jars, I highly recommend these Weck jars!

Love these little jars! I’m using them for storage, not canning, and they’re a perfect size. Arrived well packaged, nothing broken.

- great for overnight oats, or chia pudding- amazing for sourdough starter- easy to clean and get into, due to the wide mouth- great for packed lunch i.e. pulled pork pasta salad- work well for leftovers, or homemade saucesHighly recommend will be buying more as 6 never seem to be enough :(Personally I prefer these to mason jars in all aspects, I think the only difference is that mason jars are oven safe

There may be many other good applications for these Weck 0.5 L jars, but I purchased mine specifically to make and store sourdough starter. I have tried a number of jars by other manufacturers. These jars outperform others for these reasons:1. These Weck jars are straight-sided with no inward-curving "shoulder" near the jar's mouth where splattered starter and flour tend to collect in non-straight-sided jars, inviting bacterial contamination, making clean-up harder and limiting visibility.2. These jars are straight-sided, but shaped not like a straight-sided cylinder but instead like an inverted truncated cone: The mouth of the jar is substantially wider than the jar's base. The result is a jar in which it is easier to pour contents (e. g., water, flour and starter) straight to the jar's bottom, avoiding spillage and splashes onto the interior sides. A woman's fist might fit easily into some straight-sided cylindrical jars, but not my hand or the hand of most adult males. With these Weck jars I have no difficulty reaching inside to allow me to wipe the interior walls of the jars clean for good visibility of the jar's contents at all times: A very desirable feature.3. The 0.5 liter size is a good compromise-- the best I know-- for the purpose of making and storing sourdough starter: Not so big that it robs precious real estate from the interior of the refrigerator when stored, but not so small that only impractical limited volumes of starter can be inoculated and developed over time.4. The price is reasonable: Not dirt cheap but very reasonable in my view. You can't beat it. If you find something you think is superior for this purpose, please tell me and the rest of the world.

I am enjoying these jars. They look nice and I love the sizes and shapes. I was very happy to receive these glass jars free from damage being they are glass. Wonderfully packaged and protected.

I’ve started to meal prep for health reasons..it was just too easy for me to grab something easy (bad 4 me) snack. I was watching YouTube videos on chia pudding, cold-soak overnight oatmeal..lots of recipes available out there but one thing in common we’re these glass jars! They are really wonderful! They do have a very small niche learning how to clip the lid on but it took me 3 seconds to get it right..dishwasher safe and they come out sanitized! They stack really well both in the fridge and cabinet and they look nice to! Lots of people use the canning jars/lids but I don’t like how the lids get rusty and you can’t insure the seals are clean..that’s a problem for me..I’m a freak about food-bourne bacteria and molds! This is the second set I’ve purchased, I have the smaller jars as well and love those to..an added plus..glass last a very long time..I’m replacing ALL my plastic containers..I don’t care what they tell us they ARE NOT SAFE..
