I can't figure out how to get this to work. I'm not sure if it's missing pieces or not but something is off. Also, mine did not come with directions, so I figure that's where I'm having problems. It does look nice, and it's got some weight to it.

Great Weed Remover. You have to do a little assembly which isn't very hard. After this is completed you have a weed ripping machine! It takes a little getting use to in order to get the whole weed pulled out. But if you are like me you will have a couple extra weeds lying around to practice on. Once you get the hang of it you will love this device. Highly Highly Recommend!!!

Upfront disclosure: I received his item through the Amazon Vine program for review.My wife has been on a weed pulling rampage around the house trying to pull out every invasive species that is trying to take hold. She had requested a better weed puller and having seen a similar designed one that my dad uses, I ordered this one. In terms of construction and design this is largely a very good one. The extending handle and folding foot rest are nice for storage. But on the subject of the handle, my wife finds that it is a little short for comfort, and she is 5' tall. I am 6'1" tall and have found it is definitely too short for me and I have to watch my posture when I use it so that I don't end up sore. For pulling weeds is super easy and effective and you end up turning up the soil as you do it, which is a nice bonus. Operation is easy and efficient. The only issue we have is that the handle probably would be better if it had a bit more extension to it.

I've used this for a while and it's been really useful at removing moderate-to-large sized weeds from my lawn. For small weeds, or sprouts of it, it takes better precision of the handle to remove it. It took a little practice to get the hang of using it, but it was easy to catch on and I was able to remove a lot of weeds in a short amount of time. This certainly is a better process than me having to bend over or get on my knees to remove weeds. Using it was pretty comfortable and since it's lightweight it's easy to bring around the yard.As for the build quality, it's pretty solid as most of the build is made of metal. The only piece I'm concerned about is the foot platform as it doesn't seem to be made out of metal. It's held up in the time I've used it without any cracks. After using the weed puller, I'll use a hose to wash it down from dirt and then let it air dry. Overall, I'm very happy with this weed puller as it has made pulling weeds a much easier and quicker process for me.

Echofreely 4-Claw Stand Up Weed Puller Tool, 32″to 42 ″ Length comes in 2 parts, but goes together using th.provided Allen wrenches, 2 screws and 2 washer plates in only a few minutes . Just a note on assembly - the assembly directions are easy to follow but show the screws having individual washers instead of the washer plates.I received this in the middle of winter, so can only rate this on the materials, quality of construction, and how it operates (aside from actually pulling weeds. I will need to update if it does not pull weeds once the ground thaws. The materials are a balance between strength/sturdiness and weight. It feels strong without being too heavy. When pressure is put on the tool, the construction feels solid.This operates as a lever. The steel prongs are inserted at the base of a weed and, when the foot is placed on the pedal and the tool is pulled back, the prongs pinch the root ball to pull it out of the ground. The weed is then able to be pushed off the prongs but sliding the prong guard down by hand or by foot.I am especially pleased that the height of this can be adjusted, making it easy to get the right size for your height. Fully extended this seems to be a good size for someone up to about 6 feet.

This seems to be a very sturdy tool. It's very simple to assemble, but the fit is very tight. That's good, because it will reduce wear. The handle is adjustable so you can set it to the length that works best for you. I live in west TX and the horrible bushes that turn into tumbleweeds are a real pain. I expect this tool to be more than up to the task of removing them. Unfortunately, it's the wrong time of year to test that because right now is when they have dried up and the wind sends them on their way. I did test it on some other weeds and it worked well. It's difficult to show in action because it drops the weed pretty quickly once you have it out of the ground. I will be putting this to good use in a few months.
