At first because of the size of the end I did not expect much. BUT we needed to remove crab grass that had invaded our flower bed this thing is a must to save alot of time and being on your knees. Make sure the ground is moist to get down deep enough to get the roots.

This is a good length for me at 5'6". I appreciate the light weight, and I know fiberglass is often looked down upon, but I'm not trying to shovel gravel with this--I'm weeding mild to moderate weeds from driveway, sidewalk, and yard. I think the light weight of the fiberglass is preferable to wood for this purpose.It arrived sharp, intact, and well constructed. It is easy to use, and saves my back from having to stay bent over or knelt for long periods. It's also quick and easy to grab for sudden weeds that pop up.For much sturdier weeds or plants, I use a root jack. This won't really do enough for the heavy duty weeds, but for everything below that it's been very handy and has really allowed me to weed more often in smaller doses since I don't have to battle my back and knees.At $36 as of the time of this review, it's a pretty decent price and exceeds my expectations on quality. I really appreciate not having it come bent or dull, too, so I don't have to hammer it out or run it through my bench grinder.

The tool is good. I wish it was wider and the teeth were longer. I also think the that welding may not be strong enough for some weeds with long deep roots.

Very nice 55” handle. The hoe arrived in one piece. No assembly required. The welds are firm. The handle is attached to the pole with two rivets making a very sturdy setup. I have the 18” version and it works great just hard on my knees. Longer handle cures that.

This thing is a back saver. It is made of nice quality material and is a menace to weeds. No more bending over as this will just grab them and pull them right out. I got my mother one of these also as she is wheel chair bound and can use this with no issues. If you're a gardener you need one of these.
