I needed the switch removed from the grommet. You can do it by leveraging each of the sidelocks with a tiny screwdriver. There are 2 copper terminals and one silver. The silver is the negative. Also, the light comes on with the light side in the up position. Pic included

I used this switch to control a 12 volt plug in my truck. Great size looks great. The light is perfect not blinding but visible in the sun. Would be a five out five if it had better wiring diagram
