Works as intended, but I feel as it isn’t secured enough connection between the parts, always afraid it will come apart. I have been using it for a couple of months already.

Bought this July 13th, today, September 16th it broke. I used this five days a week, 40 minutes a day. I had thought I was "upgrading" from my previous hoop which I had and used in the same capacity for over 6 years. Two months and I'm hula hooping and the hoop breaks. I hear a snap, and it's over.So if you are someone who uses your regular exercise equipment as a clothes holder, or plan on using this for no more than a day or two...Go for it! If you are an avid exerciser who uses equipment on a regular basis, save your money and go for the hoop with the foam around the entirety! You will be happier and it should last a good six years rather than two months! What a complete waste of money!

It was a great product until it broke down after a year and a half of normal use without abuse. It cracked at one of the joints. It seems very short life span for $70 item.

Hula hooping has changed my life; let’s start there. I have been actively hooping every day for a year and a half now. I used to have a 2lb, a 3lb, and now I am comfortably at 6lbs. I’ve told everyone about this hoop. It is for experts who want to go to the next level. It teaches excellent breath control for singers, runners. It’s great for people who want to keep an hourglass shape and maintain curves, perks the breast via posture improvement. There will be bruises in the beginning, but they go away, and it helps to layer fitness wear and make sure you are standing absolutely straight. I recommend standing with legs together and hooping that way until you’re drenched in sweat, legs apart may have more strain on the hips if you’re not used to hooping. Again, this is coming from someone who hoops 2-3 hours a day. Posture and core strength is the root of all fitness. You will look effortlessly fit with an S-shape. Take breaks, give your muscles time to repair like strength training. I understand that this cannot be directly marketed as a hula hoop due to health concerns, but you have to realize your abilities and be committed to unlocking the secret. Girl, the hoop is life.

If you have not worked up your way with hula hoop sizes start off with a smaller weight . I have been doing weighed hula hoop for years and love it . Yes you do get bruising on your hips but they go away as your build resistance . Definitely will notice a difference within a month if you use it consistently about 20 min a day . I love it !!

I’ve had a Korean weighted hula hoop for over 10 years but only in the past year have I used it daily. My original is 1.7 kg. and yes if you’ve never used one it can leave bruising since it does have weight to it. But the bruising will go away. Start off with a few minutes then increase your time as you use it. I find that it’s actually very well made for plastic unlike foam. I’ve had my original one well over a decade. Highly recommended these but if you’re a beginner expect some bruising and hopefully you’ll love it. I have purchased the 2.72 kg and I love it!
