I really like this sphygmomenometer. The only issue I have found is that the way the bulb is positiond, pumping is a little awkward. I have used it for a few weeks and am starting to get my hand positioning right. It just isn’t natural the way you have to hold it to pump.

The box came banged up and couldn't fully closed so it was taped with scotch tape to hold it together. I decided to look past the condition of the box and still opened it. I went to test it and it doesn't even work. The needle doesn't move and the cuffs don't fill with air.

At first it looks great. Once used blood pressure was not accurate. Gauge is off.

I bought this kit one year ago and use it everyday in my office. It has four cuff sizes and they are all easy to fit and disinfect. In fact, you can fit the cuff all by itself and then attach the tubing after the cuff's in place. There is no thigh cuff or extra-large cuff and the large size will not suffice if you need one of those. The Ad picture shows a different set-up than what I received. The cuffs are the correct sizes but you'll notice they each show attached tubing with a screw ending. My set came with cuffs that have the easy-connect "pinch" feature and no other tubing attached. There is one long, universal tube that connects to the sphygmomanometer and to each cuff, so you only disconnect from the cuff with a pinch, not by unscrewing every time. This is preferable anyway I think. Not sure why the picture shows the cuffs with the little tubes sticking out.The palm-style meter took some getting used and its not as intuitive for pros like the traditional kind but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it. I like the setup better because it's easier to protect the meter and you don't have to worry about it falling off a cuff. It is very handy - no pun intended. There is a review on here that questions the accuracy of the meter. I can't address that because I have no reference but I will find another meter and compare it and update this review.Overall, this is a great kit and I highly recommend it for your doctor bag. My only (petty) complaint is that the cuffs are stored in the lid without any closure device so that when you unzipper it, usually they all come flying out. Oh well, can't have everything!Only other issue I would point out is that you should be gentle when screwing in the tubing to the sphygmomanometer because you can strip the plastic screw tips. Only need firm minus one pressure. Hope that helps.UPDATE: After continued use I haven't changed my mind at all. Just wanted to address the accuracy issue of the gauge. I took some time and did some comparisons with other manual sphygs and nurses on a stick. I hope you all know that most electronic sphygs will read higher due to patient anxiety and poor technique inherent in electronic cuffs. Most times, when I use a manual gauge to recheck an elevated BP taken on an electronic device, it is lower. Why? I am able to use proper technique: patient sitting erect with both feet on the floor; arm at heart level and supported by me, and the patient's limb as limp as you can get it, with them at ease and breathing normally. You will almost always get a lower reading this way. That being said, this meter is accurate compared to any and all other meters I have used. I'm not sure how the other reviewers measured or came to their conclusions, but my meter is accurate. I use it daily and my patients have good outcomes. This meter measures the exact same as all other manual meters in my clinic. Amen.

I originally wrote a very positive review for this product. I like the cuffs as they are very easy to fit, change, and disinfect. I also like the sphyg., but the thumb screw valve is a little awkward to use. I may try a trigger style one in the future.I had to come back and edit my review as I returned the unit. The gauge was not accurate. Systolic readings were a little low, but diastolic readings are grossly inaccurate and were reading about 12 mmHg too low. I was getting readings for example like 122/52. I wish I could say whether this happened from the beginning or the readings began to fluctuate, but I don't know. Whether I got a single bad unit or it's a reflection as a whole idk. I may look for a used unit in the future, as I liked having my own cuffs as well as the palm aneroid. 3 stars.

I have used this set most my career. I believe this to be the best product on the market and accurate with readings. I will only use manual cuffs, and would recommend this set to any health care provider.
