Finally, an accurate thermometer! No, not cheap, but I’ve not had good experiences with the cheap ones’ accuracy. These are the ones they use in blood donation centers, doctors’ offices and hospitals. You may think I’m crazy to spend this much for a home-use thermometer, but I want *accurate* data, not the chancey results the $7 supermarket ones give. Plus, this has memory for the last (previous) reading, so you can compare and see the trend. My last digital thermometer!

I bought it for my home. I use the same one at work everyday. I have temporal and scanner thermometers at home but they are not as reliable. I was pleasantly surprised that pre owned thermometer looked brand new.

I purchased this thermometer less than a year ago. (3 months shy of a year) It’s no longer working despite changing batteries. The error message I’m receiving is an E5.0. I’ve attempted to contact the seller. I will change this review if I’m contacted and they make it right.Update 10/24- I wrote this initial review and still have not heard back from the company, do not waste your hard earned money on a suboptimal product that will just break after a few uses.

The unit i received was not as shown. However it was new and professionally packaged but with different colors and Hil-Rom branding. No complaints. Just glad to have a good reliable and most importantly, trustworthy, thermometer. Even if it was a bit expensive.

When I was sick, there was a question of whether I had a fever.I have a "smart" thermometer, but at one point it read 104ºF, which was clearly incorrect, as I felt fine.I have a forehead-reading thermometer as well, but that one too was iffy.And I have a mercury thermometer, but I could not read the bloody thing easily.With the Welch-Allyn, the reading was quick, easy, and nicely readable, and I felt I could trust the results, both because the readings weren't "obviously" incorrect like the "smart" thermometer, and the reading from a healthy person was reasonable.It's unfortunate that it's bulky and not inexpensive, but if you're looking for quick results you can trust, the Welch-Allyn rocks.

I was tired of spending so much money on different thermometers every single time one of my kids got sick. They were all inaccurate and pretty well worthless. I joked that all the money I spent on other thermometers I could have just bought one like the hospital has. SO GLAD I DID. 100% worth the money. It's so accurate and very consistent. I can check my daughter's temp in both armpits and the reading would be the same. This is a must have for parents.

I use this to take temps often due to a chronic illness. So far it has been easy to use and very hygienic.
