I bought these recently. They are garbage. It's pretty pathetic when a company like Weller resorts to cheapened their products.I might as well buy cheap Chinese Yihua.

It's a great little soldering tip for smaller projects. Works great with my Weller WES51 unit. I used it for small components on a pcb for building guitar pedals. Not much more to say.

It's a good all purpose tip for circuit board work.The tips have served me well on my WES50. I purchased these for its replacement - the updated WES51 which I returned (but not due to the tips).

It has required a lot of attention to keep this tip serviceable. It coats with oxidation very quickly and requires cleaning and re-tinning frequently. But is a good solder tip.

The "e" series tips are much better than the lower cost weller lookalikes, they hold their cleanliness better and seem to heat up quicker which I suspect is better metal composition. Now soldering boards correctly instead of chasing ghost grips in circuitry.Parts arrived a day ahead of time and will order replacements form Apex TG.
