Other Xcelite tools I have purchased in the past have been best quality. I expect these to be really good pliers. I was very disappointed when I read the package and saw the warning that the handles are not electrically insulated.

My first pair of these lasted almost 30 years. The grips wore off after about 20 years, but they were still sharp. I finally asked too much of the them and broke a jaw off (but didn't dent the cutting surface!!). I would buy another pair in a heartbeat and consider Xcelite to be the go-to brand for this type of tool. No BS, I seriously think that much of them.

Très bon outil pour le travail délicat. Xcelite font des outils de bonne qualité. Un peu plus cher mais ça vaut la peine.

I've finally had it with "precision" flush cutters made of stamped steel, that no longer cut right after a few months of use. I expect these to last me forever, and they're a joy to use.

I repair electronics for a living and by far, Xcelite cutters are the best. The cutter alignment and gap are always perfect, delivering consistent clean cuts. I bought these because of the price, but wish I had spent the extra $10 for the tapered jaw model. This curved jaw design works well, but the straight tapered jaws are better for tight areas due to the sharp pointed tips.

The color is Blue, not Green. The dimensions are 50% or (half) of what is stated. The part number is correct. These are tiny as the person who photoed a picture on here for Jewelry. I needed this asap for a special repair to Hi-end audio advised by a Guru in the field. He has the touch. I am repairing my equipment at home. I also saw the pic that indicated they were made in USA. These were expensive and can likely be found elsewhere for less. And for those that have the China/ USA beef, I would suggest due to quality issues you have a business opportunity to bring back made in USA in general based on the offshoring and unethical and outright evil of buying our stuff from re-education campa (AKA slave-labor) in China. Not all of China is Slave labor, but the camps are whole areas that number in the millions of disenfranchised peoples. Let's start rethinking all of this. No. I am not a supporter of the people that went into the captitol, but that lets you know the disenfranchisement and lack of jobs here at home. Let's stay apolitical. I have gathered many parts for my project, which will be like performing surgery. I may come back and post more to let you know how this piece performed in the field. This is my gf's account and because of Amazon Prime and my timeline, I had to order from here on her card. Stay tuned, but be advised. These will work, but you might be a bit surprised and that is not always a good thing. If you need to charge forward, buy them, but do know what you are buying, as I did not. Thanks.

I've been using models like this one since the early 1980's. These are sharp and do a great job trimming spurious wires. I bought this one to add to my studio toolbox which I use to repair broken audio cables. If you only use them for lightweight electrical wiring jobs they should last for many many years.Good soldering to you!

I do a lot with cabling and wiring in my job so I work a bit with different cutting tools to that end. I am familiar with Xcelite tools as there’s a good collection of them in the workplace; this was the first brand-new set of cutters I have used. In a nutshell, these are excellent and I am pleased with them. This is a small set of snips, suitable for cutting very small wires though they work fine on CAT5 network cable too. They’re small and sharp enough to make fairly precision cuts in cramped work spaces like in a computer case, and they make very clean snips instead of tearing the material they’re cutting. The handles are insulated which makes them easier to use when working around live wires (not recommended but sometimes necessary). The insulation is a thick, foamy material that serves as a comfort grip which reduces fatigue. This is a very nice set of snips. I keep them in my tool bag at work, and they have served me well.
