First off it's larger than expected. It's a heavy well built vise that's versatile and will definitely do the job for many years. Very pleased and surprised by how far the jaws open it's going to be a great addition to my work table

This tilting vise was better quality than I was expecting. It locks tight and did not come loose when I was using it to hold a piece of 1/4 inch thick steel that I had to cut. The price was reasonable and with free Prime shipping it was a good value to me.

I bought this vice to use on a rolling cart for odd jobs like sharpening mower blades outdoors. It's very well built and moves in all the right directions to allow perfect access to the angle of the blade edges. It's heavy enough to stay in place without being bolted down for these lighter jobs too.

This WEN Tilting Vise has been a fantastic addition to my workshop! It’s incredibly sturdy, well-built, and has given me a level of precision I hadn’t achieved with other vises. The tilting function is the standout feature, allowing me to set it to any angle between 0° and 90° with ease. This flexibility is perfect for complex projects, especially when I need to drill at precise angles. The clamping mechanism is solid and holds materials tightly without any slipping, even under heavy drilling. It’s compatible with a range of drill press sizes, and setup was a breeze. The vise is also very smooth to operate, which makes it feel much more premium than its price suggests.Overall, this vise has improved the accuracy and quality of my work, saving me time and frustration. It’s an invaluable tool for anyone using a drill press, whether you’re a DIY enthusiast or a professional. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get serious about precision in their projects!

Built solid and holds anything firmly. Works great sitting on the drill press table making it easier for accuracy on straight drills without any movement.

I'm a handyman and diy home owner. I needed a vise for my drill press, and I didn't want to spend a fortune. Also needed something sturdy, and with the ability to adjust the angle. I the end it came down to this and the HF Doyle brand equivalent. I actually like this one more. Cheaper and 'feels' better. The HF one was 'smoother' before both were greased and had a cleaner finish, but this one felt sturdier. Both tilted easiler, and the angle lock (set screw) held the angle well when drilling into 1/4 wall angle iron.I disassembled both and greased before using. Both had comparable build quality. Overall, I think this one's gonna outlast me.Time will tell.

Ok this vise is great heavy sturdy accurate , it’s very very big and very very heavy you bolt it to your mini mill but must use r8 collets in order to have space between the head and the vise. This vise is the best one for any work requiring angle drilling or milling. Very well crafted for the price but it it’s worth 150$ easy Five big stars.

LikesThis vise is nice and heavy. It needs a good push to move on the press table. This vise has lots of clean, sharp lines and a nice metallic paint job.The vise functions great and has indentations to hold circular pieces. It also works great with my plastic and wooden auxiliary jaws which I made for my other vise.I'm very impressed with the heft, fit and finish overall. It's another clear win for WEN.I cannot comment extensively on the angling feature of the tilt mechanism as I have not used this much.Dislikes:Just one thing with the finish a lot of burrs and real sharp points on the machining at points where a hand or arm could definitely get cut if you weren't paying attention and we're in a hurry. The vise jaw corners in particular and the jaw edges have a lot of birding and will knick you if you're not careful. I didn't reduce my rating because this is an easy fix with a file and some 220 grit sandpaper. Now it's never going to cut me and those spots are smooth and lightly lubed.

Although this is advertised as a drill press vise I use it for milling. The only shortcoming as a milling vise is that the base perimeter is not machined making it a bit more difficult to set it up squarely on the milling table. One day I will mill the edges square and fix that issue. It is certainly accurate enough for my needs as long as I don't rely on the "approximater gauge". I use and electronic level to set angles for all my milling operations. I am very pleased with the grip this vise has for milling (and no jaw lift) and it has no sloppiness in the mechanism. It's not perfect but I gave it 5 stars anyway as it is better than I expected from a simple angle drilling vise and I am using it beyond its intended purpose.

I purchased this vise because of the tilting capabilities as well as rave reviews. The build structure seems to be fine and it worked great for several days but suddenly it started seizing right after releasing pressure. although it wasn’t very dirty I cleaned it and oiled everything. Didn’t help a bit.I did not disassemble the unit but I would imagine something either broke or bent after several days however I can’t see it if that’s what happened. I like the design and the way it’s built so I ordered a replacement hoping I simply got a defective unit since most people gave it great scores. But I know how those great scores go; 50% of the great scores occur two hours after someone receives an item without trying it out so if the second one fails then it’ll turn out to be a design flaw.If it does fail I will update this post.
