The pump is good but appears the backup only runs with a battery. No battery is included, I don't believe this was clearly communicated The main pump stopped working after 6 months, Westinghouse service didn't reply to emails. I was able to get it working again so 3 stars

Solid, well built. Installed easily. Quiet and powerful pumping. Wish the wires to connect to battery compartment were a tad longer, as the battery is a little further away from outlet in my case. Really gives you an idea of how over-priced plumbers are. 1.5 hour install.

My pit is a little smaller than most but this fit like a glove. I’m so impressed about how quiet it is. I feel that the quality is very good and even though it’s a little on the expensive side I think having the benefit of the backup pump is wonderful. So far it’s worked wonderfully!

This pump system is beautiful for the ugly job it’s about to perform. It is well made out of cast iron with stainless steel housing. It feels solid and quality (have looked at several at my local hardware store and let’s just say they left me questioning performance and durability). Installation was a breeze to boot 😁. Tested it out and it did great. I am amazed how quiet it is too. I spent a lot of time researching and shopping around, bought this for the value of Westinghouse and low asking price for a battery backup system. The fact that it comes with the backup battery system sold me. The risk is too high to get a low quality product. Heard one too many horror stories. So far very impressed with this pump!!!

I was hesitant to purchase this considering the price and lack of reviews, however I am so happy that I did. This unit is extremely well made and has been keeping my house dry for a few months now. I paired it with a 105 amp hour marine AGM group 31 battery and a quiet check valve. It is so much quieter than my other pump that my home came with. As far as the pumping power, it empties my large pit completely in 10 ish seconds, and the backup pump is not far behind.If I end up moving from this house in the next few years, I will be taking this with me and installing a generic pump before I leave here.Support was helpful when recommending and AGM vs the old style wet cell batteries. Shipping was fast. Overall, a great experience!
