Bought these to sand down and polish my epoxy countertops. The grit just isn’t there compared to manual sanding with wet/dry paper. I will admit I didn’t try all the sizes, but starting at the lowest grit had done nothing to the surface. Would not recommend for this material, maybe they would work better on something else. The pad are easy to use with a drill and stayed on well.

I bought this set exclusively for the 2000 and 3000 grit pads. I already had up to 1500 grit pads. I am using them on a slate countertop. I used my other set up to 1500 grit and the countertop looked great. Both the 2000 and 3000 grit pads from this set left swirl scratches in the countertop. I had to spend a lot of time with the 800 and 1500 grit, from my other set, getting the scratches out. I will not buy this brand again.

If you never polished granite before, get ready to be amazed. I used a circ saw diamond blade to make straight cuts and those cuts were pretty smooth from the diamond blade. But I had to make an inside and outside curve using a 4 in grinder diamond wheel which caused cut marks. The 50 and 100 and 150 pads did a great job smoothing the cuts, they work week and aggressively. Did those dry. After that since I had only about 6 ft total of edgeto polish I went slowly and used a squirt bottle of water and a dripping sponge to keep the work area wet. Going slowly that worked ok for me. Once you get up to the 1000 grit you start to see the polished edge come around and by the 3000, it’s kind of amazing. Only complaint, why furnish the pad with the odd ball thread? Kind of useless for common tools that use 5/8 thread.
