Well made factory product. Came with instructions but really not needed contrary to some of the complaints. Anyone who cannot do this simple swap-out should not be a boat owner. Things sometimes go wrong on the water and you better be able to work on your systems.

This kit was surprisingly comprehensive and brought my old Whale Gusher 10 back to life. I got the Nitrile version and while it did loose a the ability to maintain a prime when in below freezing temps, it still reliably re-primed and pumped.

Pics show what I was dealing with...It was really ugly inside...The pump chassis cleaned up well and the new parts went in easily. Re-installation was easy too and it worked perfectly afterward.

Bought it to replace an original pump that had corroded thoroughly throughout the aluminium alloy bowl. The new pump fits perfectly into the same bulkhead using the same fastener holes. The new model is very similar to the old unit with a much sturdier handle that is both longer and more substantial in weight and durabilty. The longer shaft length of the pump handle significantly increases the operator's mechanical leverage over that of the original design, resulting in higher volume of fluid transfer per stroke with less effort. Otherwise, the entire assembly looks and feels solid. I'm pleased with this replacement purchase. One final note, the options for the replacement included less expensive pumps made of durable non corrosive molded plastics, but they were all of slightly less capacity. I also judged that a metallic alloy would have greater longivity, under regular heavy use.
