I’ve only used these for removing old front & rear sights and installing new sights on two different Winchester rifles. They worked well for this. After repeated taping & hammering on the sights with these, there was no visible permanent damage to either the sights or the rifle barrel. This pack has a good variety of sizes. The cost was reasonable for these. If you need brass punches, I’d recommend these.Edited 25Feb21: They are brass, they do bend easily. But they also avoid marking up firearms too.

Watch which package you buy. Thought mine came with a hammer and case but did not.

I've been meaning to buy a set of brass punches for years, so having to drive a front sight back in the dovetail, and after reviewing the punch sets on Amazon I picked this set. It seems a lot of these have been purchased on Amazon and they are highly rated. I received them quickly with Amazon Prime and promptly drove the sight into the slot. It took several whacks to get the job done, but I found no damage to the sight or barrel. The face of the punch is slightly flattened and flared which is the place that is supposed to take the beating. A little filing will quickly return it to good shape. Seems like a sturdy set that will do what I want it to.

These are just the trick if your a DIY kind of person, especially when it comes to working on firearms. Non marring, marking, scratching semi soft metal ( brass ) gets the jobs done from pin punching to sight drifting and more. Very happy with their performance this far and especially for the cost!

I use them periodically and they work well. Its a nice set and it was cheap and they don't mar the finish as they are brass. Probably made in China but what are ya gonna do.

Love these punches. I use them exclusively to adjust pistol sights. They are strong enough to move the sights, but soft enough not to damage them. Keep in mind these are brass punches, not steel. The softer metal isn't made for pounding on hard materials, if you do, you most likely will bend them. If you use them properly, you won't be disappointed!

No brass punches are to be found around my neck of the woods so this filled the bill for knocking out some pistol sights and installing new ones. Punch is pretty chewed up after installing three sets of sights; even when coving sights with a double over microfiber cloth. They did there job and they were relatively cheap.

This set of brass punches is very nice quality. The vinyl case they come in is less than useless. When they arrived several of the punches had torn through the case and were skating free. If keeping these nice brass punches in their original case is important to you, this ain't your set. If you have a different means of storage, the punches are great. [If nothing else, drill a bunch of holes in an attractive piece of wood and stand them all upright.]

This is a cheap far east made item but seems to have just the right amount of strength without scarring steel. Worth the money.
