I run an Ibis ripmo with a race face next r crank. The chainguide tabs are on a 3 mm thick backplate adapter. For some reason the extra leverage from being 3mm out further was shearing the driveside bearing cup off the threaded part of the BB. Bearings are good but I totaled 3 of these so far so I don't trust them enough for making it through a race
