The Dryer Louvered Vent connects the appliance’s exhaust port to the external exhaust vent to safely remove hot air during the dryer cycle. This flush-mounted vent is constructed of heavy-duty rigid metal with an opening that measures 4-in W. The included pipe measures 10-in L and is fitted with a back-draft flapper. This accessory compatible with several brands; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

I was debating between this and a much cheaper one. I decided on this because it was supposed to be name brand. It's quality leaves much to be desired. It's not going to last very long. I should have just bought the cheaper version. Everything about it is thin and I expect it would break within a year.

Fit perfectly and was super easy to install. Old vent was filled with lint and other debris, replacing was easier and much more satisfying.

La lámina es muy delgada, las rejillas de abren bien al recibir el flujo de aire, en general me sirvió bien para mejorar la vista de la salida de aire de mi secadora, y evitar que entre agua al ducto cuando llueve, es la mejor opción por precio que encontré.

Got this for a renovation on a house that didn't have an outside vent. Install was easy. Got a long hose and took it through the attic to the siding on the gable and cut a hole. Works fine, and stays closed when not in use.
