It is intended to fit compatible brand refrigerators and includes the icemaker, ice bin, water valve, hardware and installation instructions. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

Product was easy to install. Space was tight due to size of freezer but pretty much plug and play design in ice maker ready Whirlpool. When we first switched it on, the tray rotated a little to each side then leveled but did not fill with water. After running the test by holding the test button for 3 seconds as instructions stated the tray rotated a normal cycle then filled with water. 24 hrs later and the ice bucket is over half full.
