Worked right out of the box. Install was easy, and the even was back in service. I highly recommend that if installing a new element, be sure the power is off and the circuit breaker box. If it's not, you may get a ground current that will not be pleasant as that happened to me on taking out the old element that had failed.

I installed this for someone and it blew out in a month and a half.

I measured my old heat element and this one looked exact with the exact dimensions. It was a DIY 10 minute job and I saved a ton of money! So happy and proud to do it myself.Note: First oven circuit breaker off. To do this safely you must unscrew the old element and tilt it at a 45 degree angle pulling it out to clear the two terminals. I laid my new element on top off the old and put the wiring terminals to the same side as the old element. I removed the old element and carefully put the new one in at the 45 degree angle. Replace the screws and done.

The element is an aftermarket part, but it works great and fits just like the original. Does exactly what I need it to...heat!

I purchased this unit to replace the element in my Jenn Air electric oven as the web suggested this as the replacement.I give it 5 stars for speed of shipping, quality and ease of installation. The unit however is made for a standard width oven and ours is a wider version so the size match up to the old element is not exact. It however installed and functions perfectly. I have not noticed any unevenness with the difference in heat distribution, etc. This is a "plug and play" installation. Turn off the power, two screws from the mounting plate, unplug the old unit, plug into the new unit, replace the screws (I had to find two slightly larger screws as the holes were poor on the stove-a Jenn Air issue), turn the power back on and go! Note: I did have to bend the flexible base cover plate the holds the screw mounting so that the element sat flat on the bottom of the stove. That was a simple thing to do and probably should be tried in before screwing it down so that the element is properly supported on the "feet" that are on the element.Good Luck!
