If you are the type of person who cleans and lubricates your chain only a few times a year, this is the right lube for you. Be honest.The negatives: It's a heavy oil and will collect road dirt easily. The grime will stain any clothing it comes in contact with, so take care and use a strap for your pants leg.The positives: Your chain will be protected from damage from rain, dirt, and especially salt if you ride in the winter. You can re-apply when it gets dry, ride for a few minutes, and wipe off the excess. When you eventually get around to cleaning the chain (if you actually do it), this cleans up well with the Park Ride chain cleaning tool.

I opted for Wet Ride because I ride in a humid coastal area with frequent rain. The lubricant seemed durable and long-lasting in the challenging conditions, and my chain stayed quiet even after occasional unexpected drenching.On the negative side, the thick oil is quick to form a black, gritty, greasy paste when exposed to road grime, and this soon coated all parts of my drive train. It might be a better fit for someone with more tolerance for grime or enthusiasm for chain cleaning, but the mess eventually led me to try cleaner options even if they need more frequent application.

If you are one to prefer oiled chains rather than a wax, then this is your stuff. Thick, binding oil that won’t shed and stays put in wet weather. Makes for a very quiet chain. But make sure to wipe the chain very well after application. A little goes a long way.

I cleaned up 4 of my bikes and used it at the end to lubricate them. It is really good. Easy to put on the bike and spread on the bike chain. Since it is nice fluid it also also easy to clean up afterwards. Very satisfied with the product. The 8 oz size was decent size

I use this on my road and mountain bike for the whole family, and its a great lubricant. Particularly for my road bike, it stays in the chain, no mess, and my bike is really silent.

I live in Utah where we have dry, dusty summers and snowy winters. I commute to work via bicycle every day, 11 miles each way. I also run a small bike shop out of my garage.In the summertime I like to use White Lightning Clean Ride dry lube on my bike, but the salt and brine that gets sprayed all over the roads in the winter to keep the snow/ice off is really hard on a bicycle drive train. I’ve seen a brand new chain start to rust within only a few weeks when not properly cared for. I have used Wet Ride 2 ½ winters and I have been very happy with it. It offers a good layer of protection for my chain and keeps things shifting smoothly. It does attract dirt and grime fairly quickly (which is common for wet lubricants), but it’s easy (and necessary when frequently riding, especially in the winter) to run your chain through a chain cleaner, rub the chain down, and reapply this stuff. Dry lubricant just doesn’t offer the necessary amount of protection, nor does it last long enough to make it a good option for winter cycling.I definitely feel comfortable recommending Wet Ride as a great wet lubricant, especially for winter conditions. Another good option for wet lubricants is Finish line Wet Lube.

I like this lube very well, but I wish it did not get dirty as fast as it does. In all fairness, I have yet to find the perfect lube for mountain biking. My opinion of the perfect lube is one I can go out a bunch of times, ride 20 miles per ride, and still not hear my chain complaining of needing lube. It just does not happen out on the single track here in Arizona. Darn! Road riding, this stuff is great.
