The sensor is able to be extended with common thermostat wire . I use it as an upper limit on an apartment where I provide the heat .Typical comment " my apartment was chilly and I turned my thermostat up to 85 and it still didn't come on ". " Yes my valued tenant that's because you are limited to 72 degrees . If you are still cold you might want to get an electric room heater since you pay for the electric ."
