Wiha 61620 outside reading 6" depth extension long life maxiflex folding ruler. Molded 30 percent fiber glass reinforced polyimide scratch, chemical and weather resistant both tough and flexible, impact resistant. Patented play free joint with steel spring is wear and maintenance free. 90 degree positive stop joints. Deep embossed scale on both sides of rules. Inch rules have 16" red stud wall marking.

Good, not exceptional. Long term, high volume use measurements for frameless glass. Great to double check laser measurements.Using these daily, multiple times a day as part of my work, they are durable, easy to read and accurate. Unfortunately, the wooden ones feel better. I like these have 90 degree positions, and will probably outlast wooden and metal versions with the high volume use they are put through.. but the lufkin feel better brand new.The flex on these is also a plus and a minus. Flex for durability, although it can effect accuracy if you aren't being careful. The weight of them is very close to others. Hard to tell much a difference. Wearing them in after a few months, may end up feeling better.Overall, 4.8 stars. Long term use will be the decision maker for me.

The folding rule is perfectly hinged, it has an extension for doing inside measurements, and, best of all, the markings are really easy to read. I was surprised, however, that the ruler is made of plastic (for nearly sixty years I’ve been using wood rulers). I hope it’s durable, but it is too soon to tell.

I compared the increments with a milwaukee tape measure and the scaling is accurate. It's very handy in select situations where the rigidity of this rule out performs a flexible tape measure. The downside is that the tool feels delicate because of the material it's made out of. It may be durable, but I still use it with care.

Well made and clear markings. Very useful for transferring inside measurements between parts that are partly covered or hard to accesses. No need to strain my eyes to read the scale markings in poor light. (should have gone to Spec Savers).

Like a lot of others, I'm not thrilled that the metal extension piece slides out so easily for the first inch. I actually avoid using it. Otherwise, it's great. It's strong, very easy to read, and I love how it snaps into 90-degree angles and fully straight. It's made of strong, durable material and I expect to be using this for a long time.

Broke the first time I used it. Plastic hinge held in place by metal pin broke. Not the Wiha quality I was expecting.

Great ruler. The locking is more precise than the wooden ones since it clicks firmly at 90 degree angles. It's completely waterproof so will last quite a while. The sliding scale is a little loose for the first inch out, but quickly gets tighter so it doesn't fall out the whole way -- seems like this was by design. It's a very high quality measuring instrument and surely feels like it's Swiss-made. I swear by folding rulers these days and find them much more convenient than tape measures. Also, this has less flex than a wooden folding ruler, without any feeling of brittleness or weakness. That makes it much more easier to control when you are holding it out to position for a measure.

This is a great folding rule, tight joints, weather resistant and ACCURATE!. The short extension slide makes inside measurements much easier than a tape measure. In some cases you can use it like a story pole, get the measurement and transfer to whatever you are cutting, the extension stays tight and no writing down or remembering measurement. Very flexible and no signs that it will break, it might at some point but I don't really need to test it.You don't need grey hair to use this but if you remember the old wooden ones you will certainly appreciate the quality of these new ones!
