I tried to use this product, but to inflate it you have to run, but I never could get it to fill up with enough air to be a viable piece of outdoor furniture if I could give 0 stars I would

So I've seen adds for things like this and I thought they were really cool and a great light weight option for hanging out in the back yard or camping. However, for the life of me I can't get the thing inflated. I looked like a lunatic doing some sort of interpretive dance trying to run around my deck then my back yard jogging with what can only me described as a giant windsock trailing behind me. I'm not sure if my error was that there was no wind to aid in my efforts or if I just don't have the knack. I have set it aside for now, lest the neighbors call the authorities to report my backyard shenanigans. I have not given up and will update if I figure out the trick for getting this in working order. One thing to note, despite my best efforts I was not successful getting it back in the carry bag post my failed-inflation efforts. It may have been due to my high frustration level so I'll update on that as well if I am able to get it back into its bag.

This lounger is not very well made and does not work well for larger people like me. It was not so easy to inflate, as you have to keep both sides open and move fast enough to get enough air into the openings to facilitate using this thing as an inflatable seat. The end is then rolled up and clipped to retain the air, or at least that is the idea. The lounger I received did not retain air for much longer than a few minutes. I could feel the air leaking out. The lounger is only mildly comfortable for a moment before the air is lost. I do not believe this lounger is really rated for 400lbs or to hold air for 5-6 hours as advertised. I would not recommend this particular lounger, at any price.

I’m VERY disappointed with this. My thought was to utilize this in my backyard as an alternative to a hammock. While admittedly, I did not watch the provided video on the product page before purchasing, I focused instead on the words “Quick and Easy Inflation” that began the item description. In my opinion, it is anything but quick and easy…in fact, I never even got it inflated. Instead of using a pump of some sort, you are supposed to pull open the different parts of it, and run around holding it open, I guess like as if you were trying to start flying a kite, first one half of the inflatable, and then the other, and then roll it up in some sort of fashion to hold in the air. Well, first of all, I have bad knees, so I can’t run. Second, on a beach or open field it might be easier, but my backyard is not big enough to run far enough with this thing to capture enough air to fill it up (that’s if I did have good knees, which I do not). And for that matter, I imagine you would look a little stupid (if there were other people around) on a lot of beaches and campgrounds going through this exercise. And indeed, it would be strenuous exercise as you would almost have to sprint. I hate this design and think it is extremely impractical. Also, I think some warnings, at a minimum some cautions, should be put front and center in the product description. For example, ‘not ideal for people who cannot run’. Also, I fear there might be a hazard somewhere for young children, as the length of the uninflated lounge could potentially be something a small child (or pet) could crawl into and become disoriented or even trapped. All this, and the instructions are poorly written too. Instead of the word “mouth” (as in “mouth/opening of the inflatable lounge”), it states multiple times “month”…I caught on to the typo after re-reading it…but a careless error. A ton of room for improvement with this one. **I’m updating this proposal and upgrading my review because I discovered that a leaf blower works well to inflate it, and once inflated, it is indeed quite comfortable. But my original criticisms I believe are still relevant…just fortunate to have a good leaf blower that provides a satisfactory ‘work-around’.

When you get it inflated it’s a very comfy and relaxing place to chill out. It folds up well enough to not take much room in your outdoor bag, one you can compacting it down small enough. Filling it was a little awkward the first time, but once you realize you don’t really need that much air in it to use it, your day will go a whole lot better. What I mean by that is that if it looks about half inflated, by the time you fold up the the end, it will be fully inflated at a length most people under 6ft will enjoy. It took me about 50 feet of running for each side to catch this amount of air, a windy day will help, but 4-5 good spins with it should also get you set up for comfort. The materials are strong, but it does come with 2 large patches of repairs are needed. The stake it comes with is small, and I’m not sure how well it will stay in place with a strong enough gust, you may consider and upgraded one of going out on a windy day. There was a small amount of deflation after about an hour, but I just rolled Ip the end a bit more, and it was back to a good inflation. The only thing I might change about this is to get in a lighter color if it’s going to be in a lot of sunlight.
