Unlike some of the reviews I read, my vise came well packaged.Install was straight forward and the vise is in great shape. No bent handles, no chipped paint, etc.Vise operates smoothly in all directions and feels solid throughout. Hoping it lasts me many years.

I finally splurged and bouth this. It is a tank and heavy make sure you have it mounted strong and i can promise unless you are a metal worker this will be the only vice you will need. I flipped it upside down and used the pipe side of the vie and cut 6 tubes for making wind chimes, it held them solidly! The anvil part is strong and no dents after squeezing the pipes on one end. For home owners .. this is the one you want. Well worth every penny!!

This is exactly what I needed for my workbench. Easy to install, can adapt to include other add-ons, solid piece, reasonable price, arrived quickly in good shape.

Box arrived damaged like most other reviews say. The packing job is simply not up to standard for an item this heavy. Included no mounting hardware, but you can assume it would be junk.The general fit and finish of the vise is decent to good. It's certainly better than the vast majority of cheap vises, but it's not the Wilton quality you may remember. The jaws line up well, and clamping force is high. The 3 adjustment handles and their screws are total garbage, same with the main handle. They have sloppy fit and mediocre thread engagement. When rotating the base, you're left with only ~1 thread engaged, otherwise it catches intermittently. It's difficult to reattach the handles if you loosen them too far. The main handle is sloppy in the spindle. All in all, look for a deal on this one. You get your money's worth, but no more. Unfortunately, the next quality level up from this is nearly $2k(Orange Vise USA).

Excellent vise. Arrived with a slightly bent handle. The box it arrived in was destroyed. While logistics might have been more careful...better/improved packaging by the manufacturer would be even better. Would highly recommend the vise, though. If you can get it delivered in go order.

Slight damage. No packing inside box. Heavy 50#. Large holes in bottom. Damage Powder coating. Scrapes/deep scratches to Metal. Should've been mounted on wood & strapped down. Was free floating in box. Ridiculous! Called Amazon. VERY nice, understanding. They discounted 30%. I needed item so I didn't want to exchange. Otherwise it's a nice heavy duty vise & should OUTLAST me. My son will enjoy it one day. Wilton should make worm shaft screw better. Threads are course & pinned making shaft weak. Also, rear of screw & nut is open. Should have enclosure cap to keep out debris! For the price it should be closer tolerances too. Happy w/ discount or it would've made a return trip to manufacturer. Wilton should address shipping practices & Q.C. Lastly, believe this is no longer made in USA. Possibly Taiwan. Didn't know this until after it was purchased. Disheartening.

Decent vise, for the price I expected the castings and the fasteners to be a bit higher end. Good for holding moderate size pieces, jaws are accurate enough for holding small pieces. Not a vise for clamping a piece of steel in and beating it into submission.
