It also includes two anvils, a 360° swivel base, and dual lock-downs to ensure maximum stability. The body and movable jaw are 30,000 PSI gray cast iron, and the base is 60,000 PSI ductile iron, so this is a vise that's built to last.

Not ok for the price. Import quality. Another case of a once reputable tool, becoming imported garbage.

Had a neighbor break my 45 year old Wilton trying to press in a bearing, the”bang” was amazing when it cracked and flew against the wall. Used a 12” cheater bar on the handle…never a good idea!So this one was the right specs for opening, jaw width, anvil and heavy duty. My old vise used a cylindrical design which allowed rotation of your work, but I rarely used that so figured the square design for the slider was fine. Ok, sounds like your grinding metal when you crank it in and out and fights you a little bit, and the jaws don’t align real well due to the slop in the square guide system. Just makes it feel real cheap but tolerable for a home hobbyist. But releasing the rotation locks on the base will frustrate the heck out of you. The serrated metal detent plate that the two locking levers pull up into the serrations on the upper casting are just floating and hang up if you don’t turn both levers exactly 1.325 revolutions and turn the upper hslf very slowly. How can you sell this terrible design!!I was going to return it but the engineer in me thought I could fix it. Added a 3” diameter 0.4” thick plastic plate under the locking plate with a plastic bushing on top to hold a compression spring at the rotation center. Now I can release the locking levers 3/4 to 2 turns and it doesn’t hang up when rotating. The old vise only need 1/4 turn to rotate, still better, but I can live with the new vise now. So 3 star rating.Oh, remove the moving jaw completely when you first get it and use a 2” Roc Loc Scotchbrite pad on your Die Grinder to polish all rubbing surfaces and lube with Lucas red lithium grease #2…much smoother cranking in and out.

Box was destroyed when it was delivered, the vise has some pretty good dings on it since the shipper probably rolled it off the truck because its so heavy!Aside from that, works as intended.Would suggest some better packaging or reinforced tape...

You don't have to worry about the Jaws breaking off of this thing, it's a solid hunk of quality steel. The reversible Jaws are also a very handy feature.
