Perfect for work table mount. Jaws are starting to rust some but what vise hasn't. This thing was built for WORK and it is great for all kinds of materials. I've used it for plate...pipes....wood pieces, even holding plastic stuff ( just be smart here)..even used it to straighten stuff. So glad I replaced my old renkie dink vise with this. YOU will not be disappointed. Recommend.

Works great. Holds stuff. Heavy. Lubed so it slides in and out real nice. Not hard to use as it isn't rocket science. Squeezes things nice and tight. Super straight.

Vise seem better built then most I've used around similar price range from big box store. I've been an automotive tech for about 18 years. I can tell this one is sturdy and i've been using it in the shop for a couple of months now.

Used for assembling electrical conduit and hoses for gas pumps. I've had it 3 months, and while tightening the vice on a 1" fitting it popped. Completely separated. It doesn't get daily use, really just there to save my wrists and elbows when dealing with flexible hardware.I would happily reach out to the manufacture, since this looks like a casting issue. But am unable since the return option ended in June.

Initially I ordered the 6 inch Dewalt heavy-duty and ended up returning it because the quality and craftsmanship of this vise was second-hand. When I decided to go with the 5 inch Wilton, although more expensive than the Dewalt, you can clearly see it's due to the high-quality product, to include warranty and detailed instructions for installation. I've used and seen may different kinds of vises for metal and wood work, the Wilton brand is definitely good quality at a reasonable price - which will last you forever!

As others have mentioned, it's a good quality for the price. My unit had good tolerances and has not had the quality issues that others have noted. It's a lot better than the other "cheapie" brands, but a lot less expensive than others. The lock and swivel are all much easier to use than other units I have tried. Don't bother cleaning it, just wipe off the excess grease with a rag.
