Very sturdy bench vise but it has only a 4” throat making it impossible to use a metal brake. If you need to bend a 6” piece of metal 45 or 90 degrees you can’t.

This thing is HEAVY! Which is a good thing. Came greased and oiled to protect from rust in the mail. Box was heavily damaged from handling - likely because the vice is heavy, but it's very durable steel. Wilton is the best vice you can get - don't cheap out.

Great quality ITS A HEAVY BEAST so youll need a solid mounting surface and good grade 8 bolts to secure it.. I used a repurposed piece of 2 inch thick bowling alley lag bolted into 4x4s underneath ... Well worth the cash ..A lifetime vise you will hand down to your kids ... Spend the extra get a good vise you wont regret this one ...

I love this vise. Been using it for almost 4 years now. It’s built multiple rally cars, rock crawlers, off-road race trucks etc etc etc. It has taken tons of abuse that would have broken other vises. Great product at a great price. You can buy a used “USA” Wilton off Facebook for $600+ or you can buy this lovely Chinese Wilton for ~$400 and be just as happy.

Was searching through my amazon purchase history and I payed 75 dollars + free shipping for this 10 years ago. I've been beating on it and it has held up well. I did bend the handle whacking on it with a sledge which is my fault. The baked on enamel has chipped and flaked away but I am very hard on it. It's a beast and have it attached to a 3/4 inch mild steel plate table.Here's what it looks like in 10 years, a flood and a shop fire.

I didn't realize wilton sold american and chinese products. This is a fairly good quality product however. I'm not normally happy with chinese products. The anvil seems quite small. I have three other 5" vises that have as large or larger. The jaws seems good quality and it's cast fairly well. It will be fine for my home shop (30' x 50') and we probably do more work here than the average home shop but I don't think a profesional would be satisfied. It is tough and probably a good deal for the money.
