Great vise! Don't bother with the import junk at Harbor Freight. Went through 3 of them. This vice is tough, great quality!

Nice sized vise for typical home use or small automotive projects. Perfect size actually. I haven’t bolted it down yet, but I will be soon. Im going to get approximately a 20x20” 1/4” plate to fasten it to the corner of my work bench first. That way the metal plate ends up being sandwiched between the vise and the tabletop- giving added reinforcement and for protecting the wood surface underneath, somewhat. It’ll also give me a place to lay tools down or set the parts I’m working on while I’m using te vise. It’s a Wilton vice, and that’s a good name brand in the industry. Got a good deal on it too and it came within 2-3 days of me ordering it. So kudos to whoever shipped it out. We’ll done! And this thing looks great next to my James Bond movie poster. Heck ya! I’ll get it registered to take advantage of the lifetime warranty but I doubt I’ll ever have to use that, but just in case I do , I’ll have it.

I would definitely recommend purchasing this vice. It has a better quality than the other products I have seen available.

This is not an American made Wilton vice, and that is reflected in the price. I don't know if Wilton actually makes vices here anymore. However, I was happy with it. The construction seemed solid, and for the price I can't complain. It was a birthday gift for my youngest son, and he really likes it, so.... I would recommend it if you need a sturdy vice, but don't want to spend a fortune on one. It appears to be of better quality than the Harbor Freight vices I looked at. I gave it 4 stars, because it isn't American made.

I'm still trying to get my stand set up for this, but from initial inspection, its made well, has a nice finish on it, operates smoothly and has a decent weight to it.My spouse backed over it after it was delivered, not checking behind the car before backing out of the garage and only the box was damaged. There's not any indication of a nick.

This is a very good vise. Much better quality than the one it’s replacing. Everything operates like it’s meant to and it’s put together well. I don’t see the issues others have mentioned in there reviews but I’ve had to buy budget or used tools most my life. So I’m familiar with using junk that only looks the part.Sometimes spending a little more is worth it. The inexpensive Wen vise I’ve used the last 5 years or so split in two while replacing u-joints. After looking at other budget vises from harbor freight, etc I saw that Wilton vises have a lifetime warranty. Considering I’m looking to pay money to replace a broken tool I might as well spend $25-$50 more and know IF it happens again I won’t be buying another replacement.Great vise. I’d recommend it to anyone.
