It's not fiberglass screen but a tape.

It serves its purpose well but I found the colour faded in the sun and the glue is really good, dirt sticks at the edges.

No holes here. This is NOT a mesh screen.

It sound too good to be true but it did the job it said it could do. It's been months now but it still holding strong. We haven't had a lot of rain and I'm curious to see just how it will hold up in the rainy season. By the end of the winter rain it would be pretty close to a year so if it last till then or longer it more than paid for itself

While prepping for an upcoming back-country Elk hunt I was going over my gear and noticed that someone (read: my wife) ripped my tent pocket while taking my daughter camping in the backyard. The tent is an extremely pricey model that I’ve used successfully on a few trips including ten days on the North Slope of the Brooks Range in Alaska. I’m meticulous with my gear because it has to perform when you’re remote and having imperfections really bothers me. Though an interior pocket isn’t essential, it is nice to have and I wanted it repaired. This tape was perfect for that application.I got the 4” version to ensure a lot of overlap on both sides of the seam – it was easy to apply and holds well. In fact, I think it’s a good reinforcement that will last far longer than the original stitching. I’m very happy with it and I have no doubt it’ll endure multiple trips without requiring replacement. The tape is easy to apply, and it’s a combination of integrated tape and netting so it will absolutely hold. That said, there are a few noteworthy negatives. First, when you open the package it smells absolutely terrible. I don’t know what it is, but it’s a chemical odor that’s very unpleasant and while it dissipates, it is noteworthy. Second, the tape backing the mesh is very, very sticky. This is good in that it raises my confidence of the ultimate holding power, but it also demands discretion and delicacy. If you mess up in placement, it’s going to be a burden to remove and retry. Also, even when placed in a folded over position such as the application I described, it called for me pulling off the excess adhesive with a few passes of a firm wet rag.Given this is both an integrated piece of tape and window meshing, I’m not sure if I’d use it to repair a window in a situation where aesthetics were important. I think it’d be great for camping or a gazebo where appearances don’t matter, but if I were using it in my house where I wanted a neat appearance, I’d just re-screen the window which would be about the same price. This would be a good temporary fix, but the tape makes it impossible to match consistently so it’s going to be noticed and on a residence that’s important. While it did work for me, for this caveat, and the reasons above, I’m giving this four stars.

these seem to adhere well. since there is an overlap of the new and old it would be nice if this product were lighter in color so that where it overlaps it would not stand out so much since the dark of the old and the dark of the new makes it darker when together
