Although still a bit pricey, this product was closest to my needs as I needed 28 fasteners and got 32 for the best price overall. I used the fasteners as soon as they arrived at my door. Took my time and started each one in its hole on the shutters and was done in less than an hour. Good product, I am pleased. The delivery time was excellent as well. Sure, beats having to screw each one on.

I used them to put wood shutters on my facade. The pegs are 1/4" diameter. I had to drill in bricks using a 5/16 drill bit because I wanted to be able to remove the shutters easily from the wall. If you drill at 1/4 you will probably damage the peg when trying to remove it from the wall. Also I has to cut them to the proper length which was easy because it is plastic. So far very happy with this product.

The shutter spikes make installing shutters very easy. They also secure the shutters so they don't blow off during high winds.

I purchased these spikes to replace some of the broken ones on my vinyl shutters and I am very satisfied with the quality of these spikes. They are very sturdy and hold very well. One key piece of advise when installing the new spikes is to be sure you drill through your original mounting holes with a standard 1/4 inch drill bit to clear a path for the new spike. If your original spikes are broken off inside the mounting holes of your home like mine were then you might have trouble trying to pull the old spikes out.

went in very easily.....didn't break as others mentioned....did what they are supposed to do.....haven't painted them yet so can't comment on that
